Four of the five were distilled in 1937 and first bottled in the early 1970s — the Ocean Liner at 34 years old in 1971, the Aeroplane at 35 in 1972, the Steam Train at 36 in 1973, the Motor Car at 37 in 1974. The Airship alone dates from 1940, first bottled at 35 in 1975. The age on each decanter is its age at that first bottling, not the time elapsed by the point it reached the Lalique decanter: in every case a further 44 years passed before release.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Airship announced the end of the series in December 2019, at a launch price of US$50,000, with 48 of its 50 decanters offered for sale and 2 retained for the Macallan and Lalique archives.
