Highlights

• 2023 pricing needs to be very significantly lower in order to offer value over and above physically available vintages.
• And the first releases have indeed been priced very encouragingly - broadly speaking back to 2019 levels.
• It's an excellent (albeit heterogenous) vintage, with many wines receiving potential 100 point scores.
• High quality, in some cases exceptional quality, combined with much lower prices can make this a vintage worth buying en primeur, depending on the individual wine's scores and - importantly - how big a price drop is needed for the 2023 to be good value compared to physical vintages of similar quality.
• Yields are high, particularly where Chateaux were able to afford expensive vineyard management, so allocations should be easier to come by.
• However, we expect the best buys to go very quickly - the best way to secure some is to send us your wish list, in advance.
