Delivery

Every bottle and every case is handled to exacting standards and delivered with care, so it arrives exactly as it should. We deliver anywhere in the UK, and to selected countries across Europe, the US and Asia — shipping is calculated at checkout, so you'll see the exact cost before you pay.

How we deliver

  • Under bond to any major UK bonded warehouse (via LCB transport), or duty- and VAT-paid to your door.
  • A large part of our stock is held under bond. However, at the moment online checkout doesn't facilitate under bond purchases - if this is what you would like to do, please contact us.
  • Next-day delivery across London for orders placed before 11am.
  • Charged by weight, shown in full before you check out.
  • Bottles you store with us are delivered free of charge into your bonded private reserve account.

Delivery charges

The prices below include VAT. A case is 12×75cl bottles (24kg). Larger or heavier orders are priced by weight, calculated automatically at checkout.

London orders: next-day delivery when placed before 11am, at the same England & Wales rate above. The minimum charge covers one case of 12x75cl (or 24kg) — a second case moves to the next band.

International

Shipping to our delivery countries is calculated at checkout — no need to ask first. Insured shipping. Signature required. All local taxes (if any) payable by recipient prior to arrival. For a destination not offered at checkout, contact us with the bottles and the destination and we'll come back to you. The same goes if your order is heavier than the maximum shown below (48kg for most destinations, 12kg for Taiwan) — just let us know and we'll arrange it.

Storage

We hold clients' wine and spirits in professional bonded storage — kept in your own name, fully insured, and stored in conditions that protect condition and provenance over the long term.

Professionally stored wine and whisky is worth around 10% more than stock kept duty-paid at home — kept in bond and in the right conditions, its condition and provenance stay intact.

Client reserves

  • Held in your name — your wine and whisky is held separately from our own stock; no right of lien can be exercised over it. All stock is held at LCB Dinton and fully insured.
  • Under bond — we arrange under-bond storage (ex UK duty and VAT) for your premium wine and spirits.
  • Ideal conditions — stored at London City Bond Dinton, an HMRC-regulated bonded warehouse in Wiltshire: a former Ministry of Defence depot with stable temperature, humidity and below-ground conditions suited to the slow maturation of fine wine.
