The eighth folio, commemorating “The Colossus of Nose”, a 1980s advertisement playing on the aroma of what it called the King of Malts. Presented in a book-shaped box with a booklet commemorating the campaign.
The Macallan’s notes: ripe dried fruits, sweet berry compote with toffee, lemon peel, cinnamon and a hint of anise; ginger, a burst of citrus and sweet oak to taste; a long, rich finish of sweet oak spices.

The Macallan has distilled single malt on the Easter Elchies estate in Speyside since 1824, under one of the first licences granted after the Excise Act. Its character rests on a narrow set of choices held to over generations: curiously small stills, a notably narrow spirit cut, and sherry-seasoned oak the distillery controls closely
