From Hunter Laing's esteemed Eidolon collection comes a superb and uncommon whisky - a 36-year-old Port Ellen. Distilled in 1983, coinciding with the distillery's closure (which is undergoing revival today.) Only 638 bottles were produced, each bearing a fascinating fact: in ancient Greek literature, an "eidolon" signifies a spirit-image of the living or the departed.
