Clase Azul Dia de Muertos Limited Edition Tequila 2021
The first of the five Día de Muertos editions Clase Azul released between 2021 and 2025 under the name Nuestros Recuerdos — our memories — and the house's first single-estate tequila, made only from agave grown at El Viboreo in Los Altos de Jalisco. Master distiller Viridiana Tinoco blended añejo aged 14 months in American whiskey casks with tequilas matured in first-use American oak. The decanter is painted with catrinas at a feast and carries a gold-plated brass ornament of three skulls and a pan de muerto, the sweet bread left on the ofrenda. 5,000 decanters were made, at US$750 on release.
Clase Azul's tasting notes: candied orange peel, agave nectar, toasted oak and almond; grapefruit skin, cloves, roasted coffee and a touch of chocolate.

Producer profile
Clase Azul was founded in Guadalajara in 1997 by Arturo Lomelí, then a young bar owner. Its tequila is made at a single distillery in Jalisco, from Blue Weber agave grown in the red earth of Los Altos de Jalisco. The decanter is as much the point as the liquid.
