Clase Azul Dia de Muertos Limited Edition Tequila 2023
The third of the five Día de Muertos editions Clase Azul released between 2021 and 2025 under the name Nuestros Recuerdos — our memories. This one takes the scents of the holiday, above all cempasúchil, the marigold whose smell is said to guide returning souls. Master distiller Viridiana Tinoco matured the añejo for 25 months in American whiskey casks, then finished it in Armagnac casks from Bas-Armagnac. The decanter is finished in marigold, illustrated with a harvest scene and xoloitzcuintle dogs, and carries a gold-plated brass ornament of cempasúchil petals.
Clase Azul's tasting notes: peach, pear, dried plum, candied walnut, toasted wood and clove; peach, walnut, clove and cacao, with a long finish of cacao and cinnamon.

Producer profile
Clase Azul was founded in Guadalajara in 1997 by Arturo Lomelí, then a young bar owner. Its tequila is made at a single distillery in Jalisco, from Blue Weber agave grown in the red earth of Los Altos de Jalisco. The decanter is as much the point as the liquid.
