The Macallan Distil Your World: London Single Cask
The companion to the London edition, and a different whisky: one European oak sherry puncheon, cask 21853, filled 27 November 2008 and bottled 20 February 2020, 465 bottles. Whisky Maker Steven Bremner chose it with Josep Roca to pair with the Roca brothers’ menu, and the label records it as bottled for the City of London. It was poured in selected London bars and The Macallan Estate bar rather than sold through retail.

The Macallan has distilled single malt on the Easter Elchies estate in Speyside since 1824, under one of the first licences granted after the Excise Act. Its character rests on a narrow set of choices held to over generations: curiously small stills, a notably narrow spirit cut, and sherry-seasoned oak the distillery controls closely
